One thing I wasn't prepared for post-grad was how lonely life can feel sometimes. Gone are the days when I could walk down the hall and find any number of my friends hanging out in their rooms or on the floor of the hallway. Now it takes a lot of coordination to get the group together and we can't really spontaneously decide to all go out one night as we all work completely different schedules.
This being the case, I have really started to treasure the moments when we can go out and grab dinner & drinks, do a little shopping, and catch up with each other. Bonus, summertime in Chicago means tons of restaurants have their patios open which means Ellie can join girls night too!
Last week a friend and I went out to the cutest bar/restaurant in Wicker Park, Mahalo. I highly recommend the Mai Tai and the Spicy Tuna Poke bowl. It was threatening to rain when we went so we didn't sit on their roof, but if you go on a nice day try to sit out there as it's picture perfect and adds to your experience.
Monday night the girls and I went to Corridor on Southport. Whenever we go here, we order soooo much food! We always get a pizza, mussels and at least one app. Corridor is a micro brewery and their beer list is always changing so you have to keep coming back to try the new flavors!
After dinner we shopped at Anthro and Gap and thought about getting Ice Cream at Jeni's but opted for banana ice cream at my house. On our way home we walked by Tuco and Blondie and had to take pictures with the photo opp wall. Isn't it gorgeous?
